We aim to help people unearth the joy that is found in reading and set them down a path of discovery, by providing concise, relatable, and insightful book reviews. We strive to ignite a spark of curiosity in even the most resistant readers by suggesting books that cater to various tastes, interests, and reading levels, and to bridge the gap between disinterested students and the wonderful world of literature.

We know that the books that you are forced to read in your classes may be outdated, stuffy pieces of work that suck all of the life and joy out of the reading experience. Here at The Reluctant Reader, we are dedicated to helping youth burned out on reading find books that fit with their interests to set them down a path to a future of reading. You like action?
